The $342B vs $26B distinction is one of the most important and least-discussed facts in crypto right now. Headline RWA numbers are doing a lot of heavy lifting. The composable, permissionless slice is where the actual DeFi integration lives — Ondo, Backed, Superstate — and that's the $26B market. The $316B difference is essentially TradFi using blockchain rails for internal settlement. Both are useful, but they're solving completely different problems and probably warrant different valuation frameworks. The regulatory environment post-Clarity Act is going to matter enormously for which stack grows faster over the next 24 months.
